Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the “PUBG bot” Discord bot (“the Bot”) collects,
uses, shares, and retains data. The Bot is operated by Alex Thomassen aka Decicus (“we”,
“us”, “the Operator”) on behalf of KRAFTON Inc., who acts as the data controller for the purposes of this policy.
The Bot provides moderation and community utilities for the official PUBG Discord servers and related communities where it is installed.
By using the Bot or remaining a member of a Discord server where the Bot is active, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. Data We Collect
We collect and process only the data needed to operate the Bot’s moderation and community features. This includes:
Account and identity data
- Discord user IDs, usernames, and display names.
- Discord account creation timestamps and server join timestamps.
- Avatar and profile information used for the automated username/avatar safety filter.
PUBG account linkage
- When you link a PUBG account for ranked roles: your platform (for example Steam PC, PlayStation, or Xbox), your in-game name, and the PUBG account identifier returned by the PUBG API.
Message content processed for moderation
- The Bot reads message content to run commands and to apply content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-raid protection.
- Image attachments may be scanned using optical character recognition (OCR) and QR-code detection to check them against filter rules.
- When a message violates a filter or anti-spam rule, the offending message text, the author’s user ID, and the channel ID are recorded for moderation records and stored for up to 30 days.
- Message edits and deletions may be logged, including the affected message content, for moderation purposes.
Ticket and report data
- When you submit a cheater or raid report, the Bot stores your form answers. These may include the suspected player’s in-game name and platform, the type of cheat, incident or raid details, evidence URLs, and your own in-game name.
- The Bot may generate a PDF transcript of a ticket channel, which can include messages posted in that channel and their authors.
Activity and logging data
- Member join events, voice channel join/leave events, timeouts, and bulk message purges may be logged.
- Direct messages sent to the Bot may be logged for moderation and abuse handling.
2. Why We Use Privileged Intents
The Bot requests the following Discord privileged gateway intents:
- Message Content: required to process commands, apply content filtering and anti-spam and anti-raid protection, run OCR and QR scanning on attachments, and log message edits and deletions for moderation.
- Server Members (Guild Members): required to log member joins, assign ranked and reaction-based roles, and run the automated username/avatar safety filter that checks new and updated member profiles.
- Presence: used by the Bot’s gateway connection as part of its Discord integration.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
We process the data above to provide moderation, protect the community from spam, raids, and abuse, operate the reporting and ranked-role systems, and maintain records needed to enforce server rules. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the community safe and functional, and on your participation in a server where the Bot is active.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Sub-Processors
The Bot shares limited data with the following third-party services, only as needed to operate its features:
- Discord: the platform the Bot runs on. All interactions are subject to Discord’s own Privacy Policy.
- PUBG API: receives the platform and in-game name or account identifier you provide when linking a PUBG account, in order to look up your account and rank.
- Google (Google Sheets): cheater and raid reports may be appended to Google spreadsheets for review. This can include the reported player’s details, evidence URLs, and the reporter’s in-game name.
- DeepL: announcement message text may be sent to DeepL to produce translations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as it is needed for the moderation, safety, and community purposes described in this policy. Activity and moderation log records are automatically deleted after 30 days by a scheduled cleanup process. Other data may be removed when it is no longer required or upon a valid deletion request, subject to legitimate moderation and safety needs.
6. Data Security
Access to stored data is limited to the Operator and authorized server administrators. We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 10. We may need to retain certain moderation records where we have a legitimate reason to do so.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Bot is not intended for anyone below Discord’s minimum age requirement (at least 13 years old, or higher where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe such data has been collected, contact us and we will address it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
